As a way of curbing unemployment rate for youths that is currently three times that of adults in Uganda, JKCC has given out farm tools and equipment to youths. The boost is intended to interest youths into coffee growing and coffee value chain business that is predominantly ran by aged farmers.
Coffee farmers in Nanziga and Maya villages of Wakiso District have cried out loud to JKCC to run to their rescue over the increasing Coffee wilt disease that is drastically affecting their coffee.
In Uganda, coffee farming is the main source of income for many families yet over 80 percent of these families are still living below the poverty line.
